At the center of this table runner is a circular field enclosing a Star of David inscribed in Hebrew, "Zion" surrounded by the word "Jerusalem." At the time this runner was made, a number of Jews worked in the Kuzguncuk quarter of Istanbul and specialized in chain stitching.
