Each candlestick consists of a short column on a square base supporting a knopped and ringed tapering standard. At top is a basin with pricket. The base of one candlestick bears a later inscription dated 1861 that is lightly scratched into the surface.

Candlesticks such as these served to illuminate the raised platform before the Torah ark. The Danzig collection also includes a tankard by the same master, D 292.
