Alice Aycock conveys a child's awe in seeing the multiple lights of Hanukkah. She adapts another feature of the holiday, the dreidel - a small, inscribed top that children play with during this festival - as her principal element. Transposing her interest in science and games of chance into a giant-sized kinetic version of the dreidel, she electrifies the top and endows it with a sense of power.
