The three elements essential for the havdalah ceremony are contained in this set: the cup for the wine, the spice box and the candleholder, all inscribed with appropriate phrases from the service. Another selection is cut out on the tray. The artist, Ludwig Wolpert, was the founding silversmith of the Tobe Pascher Workshop of The Jewish Museum.
