Wrapping cloths (bógos) were used to carry smaller articles. A Jewish bride was given one to be used to carry items to the mikveh (ritual bath).


The composition of the cloth, a large central motif, diagonally placed corner motifs and repeated motifs around the edges, is typical of Ottoman embroidery.
