Freud, who related the process of psychoanalysis to archaeology, was a passionate collector of ancient art. This ring came from Sigmund Freud's collection. It was given by his daughter Anna to "an analyst she felt indebted to." The stone bears the image of the Roman goddess Fortuna, who is associated with good fortune, peace and prosperity.
